We are all thrilled with this new addition to our extensive retail offerings!  Marula oil hails from southern and eastern Africa, and is a product of the fruit of the marula tree.  The oil is full of oleic acids, powerful antioxidants and is cold-pressed to preserve the nutrients within.  The hydration, protection and replenishment that results is truly astounding, and the oil is microencapsulated to release the benefits over time.  We here at Your Escape Salon have all tried it, and it was wonderful in all of our hair, which ranges from oily and fine to drier and thick.  That's truly amazing.

Another lovely aspect of this line is the fact that Paul Mitchell and African women's collectives have navigated a fair-trade partnership, which helps create economic sustainability for these women and their families.  I find this an important part of conscientious consumerism, and I am always glad to see companies stepping up and taking the time to forge these relationships.

Rare Oil Replenishing Conditioner - The conditioner from this line contains all of the goodness of marula oil, providing hydration and nourishment.

Rare Oil Intensive Masque - This masque provides UV protection, hydration and prevents future damage to your hair.  Amazingly, this masque both softens dry and coarse hair, and adds fullness to fine and limp hair.  As a fine-haired gal myself, I love having a masque option for when I feel like my hair needs an extra something, but not a greasy weigh-down!

Thoughts on the importance of purchasing professional products from an authorized salon, rather than purchasing them elsewhere.

Jupiter is chlorinating the water again...joy!

Well, the Town of Jupiter is chlorinating the public water supply for pretty much the whole month of October, and we all know what that means!  Chlorine can make your hair appear greenish, and can make the texture feel like a tangled cotton ball.  Pretty gross.  Luckily, we have a treatment and coordinating products to help restore your hair during and after the chlorination process.  Malibu is a product line out of California and is made in the USA.  Using their swimmer's shampoo and conditioner along with an in-salon swimmer's hair treatment will help prevent chlorine buildup. The amazing product that is Poo~Pourri

So, you know when you gotta go, and you don't want anyone to know that you just went, but there's just an awful spray to "freshen" the air with rather than something to eliminate the smell?  We all know that those sprays don't work.  The poo just ends up smelling like itself, but with geraniums growing out of it.  Enter, Poo~Pourri!  They are truly amazing products.  They are biodegradable so, our delicate environment won't be harmed, and they literally eliminate any undesirable odors.  They are also made in the USA!  With names like "Deja Poo", "Crap Shooter", "Heavy Doody", and "No. 2", you and your fellow powder room patrons are sure to have a laugh as well as garner great results.  All you need to do is shake the bottle, give the surface of the toilet water 4-6 sprays, and proceed to do your thing!  Come by and pick a bottle up today - it is truly amazing stuff  :)
